Following a trade visit to Poland by managing director Tad Ostrowski, Artington Legal has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with law firm Śmigielska & Partners in Warsaw.
The move comes with increased demand from UK-based companies looking to expand into the Polish market, as well as Polish companies seeking to invest and develop in the UK.
Śmigielska & Partners is a law firm with renowned expertise in business law and a significant track record in the railway sector. The firm is led by managing partner Monika Śmigielska. The team of 10 lawyers advises on a range of matters, including public procurement, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property, areas in which Artington Legal is also strong. The two firms plan to combine local knowledge and expertise in the UK and Polish economies to provide comprehensive legal services for business clients, in English, Polish, French and Russian.
The move has already received positive feedback from UK and Anglo-Polish companies. The UKTI team based in Warsaw, which supports British companies to increase trade with Poland and provides assistance for Polish companies investing in the UK, welcomes the move.
Tad Ostrowski said “Poland has strong GDP growth performance and is therefore increasingly an area of interest for our clients who are looking to expand their global reach by investing in Poland and from there into the Emerging Europe Region. Śmigielska and Partners’ strong track record in the rail sector also dovetails with our own expertise in the rail supply chain and more broadly in the travel and travel technology sectors.”
Monika Śmigielska also commented “We are delighted to be entering a cooperation agreement with Artington Legal. We have worked together on several projects over the last eighteen months, and their expertise and goals mirror our own. By joining together, we can combine our knowledge to provide a unique service that meets every need of our clients – in the UK, in Poland and further afield.”
