We are delighted to announce that Edward Sexton has joined the Artington Legal team.
Edward is a full spectrum business lawyer with a senior track record in house with specialist experience in media, film, technology, commercial and contentious intellectual property.
Background
Originally from global law firm DLA in Sydney, practising intellectual property and commercial litigation, Edward is a 12 year qualified in house and commercial law specialist with experience in the travel technology and creative technology industries.
Edward’s professional background enhances his specialist capacities, including intellectual property licensing, competition, anti-trust, corporate and commercial work (Sony Pictures, London 6 years), and high end commercial advisory skills (Maison Martin Grant luxury fashion house, Paris 2 years).
Edward brings added expertise to the firm on an extensive range of issues, from licensing and rights financing to strategic dispute management, alternative dispute resolution models and litigation.
Edward’s broader field includes competition law, in which he has experience in strategic advisory analysis and major filings in the UK and EU. Edward is also experienced in providing corporate and commercial advice in compliance, key contracts and brand management.
His most recent work in travel has been as UK sole counsel for the eDreams, ODIGEO group, Europe’s largest e-commerce portal and the world’s largest online travel agency group, including the Opodo, eDreams, GoVoyages, Liligo and Travellink brands. For eight months, as a standing start resource, Edward assured the management of both senior aspects of group wide European and international matters for the executive management, and all matters arising in connection with UK law, the primary legal and structural hub grounding ongoing group harmonisation in to Barcelona headquarters.
Edward is UK qualified, speaks professionally fluent French and working intermediate German.
