Russell has more than 20 years’ experience in a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs, asset sales and purchases, venture capital investments and company re-organisations.
Russell also advises on commercial contracts, such as licensing, manufacturing, franchising, distribution, supply and assignment agreements, terms and conditions of sale, commercial agency matters and director, shareholder and partnership issues.
He has worked in large and small City law firms and regional practices as well as having several years’ experience in-house. Most recently he was head of corporate and commercial law at a niche practice in London dealing with a wide range of clients from start-ups to SMEs to UK subsidiaries of major international businesses.
He is always keen to learn about his clients’ businesses to ensure that his proposals best fit their requirements and he perfectly understands that most clients are more worried about business efficacy than legal intricacy. Where feasible he is happy to suggest a simple solution and would always rather expedite a practical response than wrap things up in legal niceties.
